The Caldwell 3000 pivot hinge is manufactured from an aluminium extrusion to BS1474.

Integral to the design is a dual action self engaging restrictor device for enhanced safety in ventilation and cleaning positions. Design incorporates for friction loading adjustment and positive locating sash clamp plates for easy fitting or removal of the sash.

The innovative feature of this saddle hinge design is a built-in restrictor that locks to allow ventilation but prevents further opening of the sash. The same mechanism allows the sash to be locked in the fully reversed position for cleaning. Maximum sash weight for a pair of pivot hinges in a horizontal configuration is 100kg.

Caldwell's adjustable friction in-line, spinner, pivot hinge has mounting plates to fit a wide range of frame profiles. Although simple in operation the hinge is fully engineered and can be finely adjusted for centralisation and turning friction resistance.
