SASH BALANCES
Double sprung spiral sash balances allow smooth operation by reducing the effort required to open by up to 70%. Pre-tensioned balances are individually tensioned to exact window sizes to speed installation and eliminate on-site adjustment. Non-pre-tensioned balances are fully adjustable to allow adjustment during installation.

Balance brackets are used to attach the balances to the sashes on non-tilt sash windows. Caldwell offer a large variety of brackets to suit different applications

PIVOT SHOE   Matrix
Pivot shoes are used to attach the balances to the sashes on tilting sash windows. They are designed to lock any vertical movement of the sash when in the tilt position. Innovative tufnol brake pads are used as standard for additional slide resistance.

Pivot bars attach the sash to the pivot shoe. One end of the pivot bar is fixed to the sash and the other end locates in to the pivot shoe. High corrosion resistant pivot bars are available to ensure rigid and stable tilting windows. Options are available to accommodate a horn arrangement and an innovative sash removal kit that maintains the strength of the mechanical operation of the window.

SHACKLE
A stainless steel retention knuckle to link the sash and outer frame via the pivot bar and shoe assembly eliminates sash disengagement during both installation and operation.

TILT RESTRICTOR (STANDARD)   Datasheet
Allows the retention of sash weights up to 35kg whilst the sash is tilted in for cleaning purposes. Robust stainless steel arm construction retained within the jamb for maximum load retention & safety. Inbuilt, biaxial, anti-jam device enables the sash to smoothly return to the upright position.

TILT RESTRICTOR (QUICK RELEASE)   Datasheet
An advanced design utilising all the features of the standard tilt restrictor but with an inbuilt, quick release option to ensure sashes can be removed easily and simply. Ideal for all applications but in particular when the window is situated in a deep reveal.

A new design tilt-in restrictor for heavier sashes (patent pending). Capable of being used in complete safety with sashes weighing up to 50kg (please refer to your system company manual for details on sash weight maximum as this may be lower than 50kg). The design incorporates several features to ensure smooth and safe operation and a simple return of the sash to the upright position.

SASH LOCKS
Sash locks> lock the bottom sash to the top sash to prevent unauthorised opening. A keeper is fixed to the top sash and the sash lock to the bottom sash, the cam on the sash lock locks into the keep when operated. Caldwell offer a choice of locks in a variety of finishes. We also offer a bespoke service where the customer requires it.

SASH LOCK KEEP   Matrix
Keeps provide an interlock for the sash lock. Keeps can either be top mounted or face fixed or a combination of both. A double stage keep can allow trickle ventilation to building regulations part L. The finish of the keep normally matches the sash lock.

SASH LOCK PLATE   Datasheet
Sash lock plates offer additional security to the sash lock and keep. The plate fits under the sash lock and around the keep and offers extra strength to this area of the window to prevent the sashes being leavered apart. This enhanced security plate does not compromise the aesthetics of the window.

LIMIT/TRAVEL RESTRICTOR
Restrictors provide a 100mm safety opening position and spring loaded re-engagement. Available with a locking feature for enhanced child safety.

Caldwell sash lifts are available for "easy grip" purposes to operate the sash window. Pole rings can also be supplied for pole operation on high level windows.
